One of the strongest antibacterial oils known, Oregano oil has been studied as an effective killer of almost all bacteria, molds and even some viruses. Because of its powerful antimicrobial properties, it is often used in bronchial and gastrointestinal infections. It must be used very carefully, however, because it is so strong, and should be diluted to at least 20% before using in or on the body.

Oregano has been traditionally used to:

  • Promote more regular and less painful menstruation
  • Stimulate the immune system and increase resistance to infection
